Heaven lies under the mother's feet.
In Islam, we believe that in order to get heaven after our passing, we have to obey our parents and treat them with the utmost respect. The mother is given more respect and honor due to the fact that she struggled and did more for the kids. I always keep this in mind when my kids are giving me a hard time. For instance, today my daughter did not have her nap and it was 10:30 p.m. She kept repeating, "I'm not tired and my sleep went away." If she did not go to sleep soon, she would give me hell. So my goal was today for her to sleep on her own and she kept getting out of the bed and crying. I started crying. This is too much. My kids wake up in the middle of the night so they can sleep near me.

A wonderful reminder to respect our mothers. I hope my kids aren't as bad as I am. Fat chance, huh? lol. My little sister's six and she still wakes in the night. We promised her a princess room if she sleeps in her own bed. She declined.
