Brain's a lil bit fuzzy
I cannot sleep for the past two days. My mind is still playing over what happened to a wife because her husband could not control his temper. I even get scared these days when my hubby gets mad as to where that anger will lead us. I cannot sleep. My kids cry all day. I cry on the inside for the little boy who's mother is gone and what he will think when he hears how his mom died. I am able to be more patient with my kids because I am still here for them while another mother is not. Its like I have no one (everyone) to talk to about this. I am fending the fort (I think that's an expression but not quite sure of its meaning) by myself, day in and day out. Hubby works during the night and sleeps during the day. I feel bad for waking him up. He never seems to get a good nights rest. Humans were created to worship Allah. Humans were made to work during the day and sleep at night. Most of all humans were made to constantly move and eat up until their tummy feels nearly full. When all this out of whack, the human is fat and lazy and unproductive.

death notice
Innalilahi wainailahi rajeoon (To Allah we belong, to Allah we return). Suraiah Miah passed away on September 28, 2009 at 1 a.m.
Right now my mind is reeling with so many things. The above quote being one of them. A friend passed away last night. The police have her husband in custody. His story is constantly changing. The couple had problems since the husband came here from overseas. I am not airing anyone's dirty laundry but simply speaking my mind. My hubby and his brothers left to work a few minutes ago and I cannot be on the phone all day simply because I do not want to think about death. What happens after we die is a scary story. I was thinking that it really is true that how you live your life is how death will meet you. This girl was a sweet girl but never quiet. She will be missed as a mother, friend, daughter and sister. She seems to be everywhere and is another reminder to me and everyone else that life is short and we must do as many good deeds as possible.
thank you.

drops of wisdom
This is a great quote I found through Project Nur on another site about Drops of Wisdom. Had to share it with you guys/gals.
“The word “shams” (sun) is feminine, and “qamar” (moon) is masculine. The sun burns itself out to give light and life to everything around, and the moon is muneer, meaning it reflects the light. Within itself it has no light; it radiates the brilliance of the sun. So when we shine as men, the implication is that we are reflecting the glorious light of our women. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’aala be pleased with them.”- [Shaykh Abdullah Adhami]

potty training day 1
It was my son's 2nd birthday yesterday. Billy is now 2 and the terrible twos started a long time ago but that will be for another day. So in honor of him turning 2 I decided to try potty training. He peed on a chair and on the carpet. He did not want to wear his pants without a diaper. He refused so when he did I rewarded him a sticker. Now my daughter is saying, "he wore his pants, he should get a sticker." He's even asking for it. Him being potty trained would make my life a whole lot easier. I put him on the toilet and he says "I can't." (Farsena for my bengali speakers but it sounds more like fatina.)

Ramadan day 17
So I recently bought Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. She kicks you down to the ground and keeps on kicking, no mercy. I have a few pounds to lose post baby. Taking it slow but have no ideas about what to eat and when. Going to take it one day at a time. If you're going to do something, don't wait and just do it!
