Blissful days ahead.

I like the days when my hubby has no work. Not for obvious reasons. My kids are crazy for him. They are super clingy to him and that makes my life easier. My son will not go to bed without his dad.

I was kind of bummed out today because we just looked at the houses and went home. I thought at least be out for a lil bit longer but did not happen.

The best surprise today was discovering I have raspberry trees. All this time I've been contemplating cutting these trees that looked too bunchy and like tall weeds, only to discover they are RASPBERRY TREES!

dream house!

Today we checked out 4 houses in one district in under an hour. The house we fell in love with hard had a pool, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and even a swimming pool in a great, well groomed neighborhood with the elementary school and playground nearby.

Of course someone else fell harder for it and its now pending. Always happens! So I always say to myself and the boys that its for the best.

Inshallah we will find our dream house.

Super tired

My son made me walk around the block with him today for an hour. I liked that because the more I walk, the sooner the contractions can come. But then I'm scared my water will break as I'm walking so I always try to rush back home. He pulls me to keep walking...its too cute! :-)

thursday rewind

The perfect day had to be yesterday...

Me and my kids and mil were sitting on the porch. The men of the house were sleeping. So it makes perfect sense to take kids who are fully awake outside. It was super cold and cloudy. Little did I know it was going to rain. My son was walking when a drop fell. Then more drops fell but he still wanted to stand in the rain. He even begged me to walk with him in the rain. Then a huge down pour but we did not go inside. Instead all of us sat on the porch and watched the rain fall down. That's one of the best memories of rain that I have. One of. Because of course I have many on my mom's porch.

Then in the afternoon, hubby was super tired. So around 5 pm, I climbed into bed next to him to wake him up. Instead he wrapped his arms around me and placed my head on his chest. It felt so nice I would have fallen asleep but he had work in one hour and I would have to watch Billy after he leaves.

Around 5:15, the phone rings. Its my mom saying to come over because her brother and his family are coming over her house to see my mil. So we all get ready and leave.

Its always nice to be around family that you actually LIKE. So the next few hours were spent with people I like talking to.

We got back home at 11 pm. I was exhausted but had to pray Isha (night prayer), otherwise I would fall asleep, in a deep sleep and I did not need that.

Love birds

Over the weekend, I seen the most cutest sight. My hubby caught the two in the act before I did. Pecking at each other like no one was watching. Then the male moves away and I laugh and say that's you. This is what I'm referring to below. Two love birds atop a house. They were pigeons actually.

Cry it out!

Is it mean of me to let my son see his favorite people in the world leaving in a car without him. To let him cry his brains out. No! I do not think or believe so. Kids need to learn to be disappointed in life and we as parents cannot protect them from all the boo-boos out there...

Pregnancy Update

Today and yesterday I had two appointments. Yesterday's was the ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing properly. Inshallah I am praying I will not need a C-section. Today's appointment was rather fast and I was done by 9:30 but did not go home from my appointment until 12. Why, you maybe thinking. My hubby has had some overtime at his work, so he gets home 2:30-3:30 these last few days. He took a pillow and blanket with him on my appointment days these past two days. He fell asleep in the car. I kept calling and calling and leaving messages. It was insane. I was going to go looking for him on all 6 floors of the parking structure when he suddenly appears. But the best part is? That was not even the longest I ever waited for a ride.

Hero #1

In Islam, we say that everything that is pre-written will happen in due time. So the thing about heroes to me is that if it was meant to happen, it would happen and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it.

Nonetheless, I have thought of a hero...

She is my mother in law during the time of Bangladesh's independence and what she had to do to save her husband's life...more to come

Milk, I say!

Its beyond past bed time for my son and he should be sleeping but I don't know why I'm delaying it. I still have to pray and the house is littered with a million colored blocks that he loves to pour out. His fave word right now is milk. He wants some before bed.

G'night

A whole new day, whole new way!

A fresh new month with many adventures ahead. I did something which I know especially my sisters reading this will not like to hear but as I was cleaning today I fell on my behind. Not too hard but I fell and no one noticed. My hubby was just entering the house and I was just sitting as if nothing happened. Inshallah everything is good. :-) so Quit worrying!

Now to good news: a couple came over to see our house today. They seemed to have like it so inshallah we will find out soon whether we can sell or not. Please make dua.

My mil and son are having an afternoon nap and I should too but I want to enjoy these few quiet minutes to myself instead of sleeping. Its so pretty outside but I'm stuck inside with chores.
